An electronics installation is only as good as the wiring behind it, which is why this is not a separate trade here. The crew that fits the chart plotter is the crew that knows what is behind the panel it is wired into.

This is the least visible work on a boat and the most consequential. Corroded terminals, an undersized run, a charging system that was right for the battery bank that used to be aboard — these are the faults that present as a failed instrument and turn out to be something else entirely.

Yes. Our quality control officer inspects life rafts, EPIRBs and safety equipment through the winter months.
That is usually the best time to do it. A boat that is already hauled and covered is far easier to rewire than one in the water on a schedule.
No. We work on boats stored with us and on boats brought in for a specific job, and we run our own hydraulic trailer if the boat needs collecting.
We are on Farwell Drive in Rockland and work throughout midcoast Maine, including Rockport, Camden, Thomaston, Owls Head and the surrounding harbors.
